Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Aufgaben

• Provide overnight inpatient coverage for pediatric hematology/oncology patients.
• Evaluate and manage acute clinical concerns, including fever and neutropenia, pain crises, transfusion reactions, oncologic emergencies, chemotherapy-related toxicities, and other urgent conditions.
• Perform admissions, consultations, cross-coverage assessments, and discharge planning as appropriate.
• Coordinate care with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nursing teams, and subspecialty consultants.
• Respond to rapid clinical changes and participate in emergency management and stabilization of critically ill patients.
• Facilitate safe and effective patient handoffs between daytime and nighttime providers.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in accordance with institutional standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and educational initiatives within the division.
