Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Longview, TX is seeking a dedicated patient care assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision and ensure patient safety during night shifts.

BLS certification is required; high school diploma preferred; hospital experience preferred; 12-hour shifts 6PM-6AM; full-time role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
• Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
