This position involves packaging bread, pastries, and other bakery items carefully and hygienically according to orders for Wholesale Accounts. It requires coordination with the Wholesale office, Bakers, and Delivery Drivers. The Overnight Bakery Packer finalizes the process to ensure each baked good reaches our partnered locations accurately and on time. Candidates should operate efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail, time management, and reliability are essential.

Essential Functions:

• Be available to work as early as 6:00 PM and/or as late as 6:00 AM. This is an overnight position, with hours flexible during the interview.
• Package items for next-day delivery carefully and efficiently.
• Ensure correct items and quantities are packaged and labeled per detailed packing slips.
• Organize packed items for transport, preventing movement or damage during transit.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including refrigerated walk-ins and freezers.

Other Functions:

• Assist in other tasks as needed to support the Wholesale Department, under the direction of the Department Manager.
• Follow health and food safety standards, restock items, and clean work areas.
• Stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours or as needed.
• Lift up to 20-30 pounds regularly.
• Reach, feel, bend, stoop, and carry as required.
• Work in warm and cool environments, such as walk-in coolers, freezers, and near ovens.
• Tolerate potential allergens including peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish.
