Job summary

OrthoNebraska seeks an Extended Recovery RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered post-operative care for orthopedic patients requiring extended recovery or overnight observation.

You will monitor patients, manage pain, and promote early mobility while coordinating with surgeons and perioperative teams to optimize outcomes and safety.

Two 12-hour shifts are available, with built-in weekends and holidays as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active.
• Experience in perioperative or extended recovery nursing preferred.
• Ability to monitor post-op patients and manage pain safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing nursing assessments and update care plans.
• Implement interventions per plan of care; monitor for complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe discharge.
