Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed RN to join a multidisciplinary team in Del Mar, CA. The RN will perform face-to-face evaluations, nursing assessments, care planning, medication administration, and collaborate with medical and treatment teams to support safe, structured care.

This on-call PRN overnight position (7pm–7:30am) offers compensation between $45.00 and $55.00 per hour. Must hold an active RN license; ADN acceptable; prior mental health or detox experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing.
• One year experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorders preferred.
• Ability to draw blood and perform venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Meet with potential admissions for face-to-face evaluation and medical appropriateness.
• Develop and initiate Nursing Care Plans.
• Administer medications and document effectiveness.
• Monitor vital signs and assess medical concerns.
• Collaborate with medical staff and treatment team.
• Document progress and maintain compliant records.
