Job summary

F2Onsite is seeking a reliable Network Installation Technician to install, configure, and support network infrastructure during overnight maintenance windows across multiple U.S. locations.

You will deploy routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling in customer environments, following installation plans, and coordinating with remote engineering teams to ensure installations are tested and documented to company and client standards.

Qualifications

• Experience installing network hardware or IT infrastructure.
• Familiar with rack and stack procedures.
• Basic understanding of routers, switches, patch panels.
• Experience with structured cabling and labeling standards.
• Ability to follow technical diagrams and installation instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in data center environments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work overnight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Install and rack network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and related hardware.
• Perform structured cabling installation and patching (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber where applicable).
• Mount and secure equipment in racks, cabinets, and network closets.
• Follow installation diagrams, work orders, and engineering documentation.
• Label and organize cabling according to standards.
• Perform basic network connectivity testing and validation.
• Coordinate with remote engineers for configuration, troubleshooting, and verification.
• Document work completed including photos, serial numbers, and installation notes.
• Ensure installations meet safety, quality, and customer standards.
