Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a QC Lead NDT to oversee the assembly testing and nondestructive examination processes for fabricated materials.

You will conduct ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspections, generate NDT reports, and ensure conformance to contract specifications. The role reports to the Quality Supervisor, mentors NDT staff, maintains safety and quality policies, and collaborates with the production team to sustain workflow and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High safety awareness at all times.
• High School diploma with 7+ years of experience or Associate's with 5+ years or Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years' experience in fabricated steel environment.
• Level II NDT certifications or ability to obtain Level II within agreed time.
• AWS CWI certification.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate products to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Interpret NDT reports and decide on acceptance/rejection.
• Mentor Entry to Advanced level NDT Inspectors and document OJT progress.
• Perform metallurgical testing including weld coupon testing and macro examination.
• Maintain NDT reports and records for audits and contractors.
• Coordinate scheduling to cover vacancies and communicate daily work assignments.
