Job summary

Cascadia Health is hiring Mental Health Aide I or II for residential programs across the Greater Portland area. The role includes assisting with daily living tasks, implementing care plans, and providing trauma-informed, client-centered care in a 24/7 setting.

Shifts run Tuesday through Saturday during the overnight window, with responsibilities spanning medication administration, documentation, crisis intervention, and community integration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in an approved behavioral science field or three years of mental health work experience for the QMHA pathway.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor treatment plans as part of a team.
• Promote strengths-based, client-centered care.
• Provide individual and group therapies as directed by the plan.
• Supervise residents in daily living tasks and community integration.
• Coordinate with staff on resident concerns and needs.
• Accompany residents to appointments and activities when possible.
• Administer medications per provider orders using MAR.
• Ensure daily chores and biohazard cleaning are completed.
• Assist in crisis situations using non-violent intervention.
• Maintain HIPAA and safety compliance; participate in meetings.
• Document records in EHR per policies.
• Complete annual trainings and stay compliant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
