Job summary

Oakmont Management Group oversees Oakmont of Brookside in California and is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents with medication administration and personal care in line with nursing standards and company values.

You will work with residents, families, pharmacies, and physicians to ensure accurate records, safety, and compassionate care. HS diploma required; LVN a plus; state training may apply; background checks and health screenings are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; LVN is a plus.
• Completion of training/certification may be required per state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience assisting with medication at a RCFE preferred.
• Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and provide care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents and families.
• Criminal background check and health screening tests, including TB tests, are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe environment following safety standards.
• Foster teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
