Job summary

Hy-Vee, located in Minnesota, is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the Meat department with customer service, wrapping, trimming, and stocking in a fast-paced environment.

The role is non-exempt, with overnight shift options and eligibility for benefits. A High School diploma or equivalent and basic food safety training are preferred. Reports to store leadership and Meat Department Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with basic food safety training.
• Six months or less of similar or related work.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting care and patience.
• Smiles and greets customers and addresses them by name when possible.
• Wraps, weighs, labels, and stocks meat/seafood products and rotates stock.
• Assists customers by guiding them to products and taking orders when needed.
• Works with team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of the department; adheres to guidelines.
