Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Rochester, NY is seeking an Overnight Grocery Manager to lead all store operations during night hours. The role requires strong managerial and leadership skills to guide the overnight team and ensure smooth daytime transfer.

You will oversee merchandising, inventory, and department financials, while delivering excellent customer service and coordinating with the daytime Grocery Manager. A hands-on approach to ordering, stocking, and problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of supervisory/coordination experience in a work setting, professional group or service-based company.
• Managerial/supervisory experience that might include interviewing, selection, disciplinary action, employee development and managing financials.

• Educate and work hands-on with team on ordering, stocking, rotating and unloading deliveries
• Responsible for the financial success of the Grocery department in partnership with the daytime Grocery Manager
• Ensure incredible service is provided during the overnight operation in all department and help to problem solve any customer concerns that arise overnight

At Wegmans, our Grocery Department is the largest area of the store, housing all the products customers need to complete their meals and stock their homes with essentials. In the role of Overnight Grocery Manager, you’ll oversee the operations of the store during these hours and use strong managerial and leadership skills to ensure the overall success of the overnight team. With a keen eye for merchandising and a passion for putting out the best products, you’ll be responsible for everything from department financials to product levels to ensuring each employee is working to meet customer and store needs.
