Job summary

Excel-Interior-Door-LL in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC. The overnight shift runs Sunday to Wednesday 8PM–6:30AM with possible overtime on Thursdays.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues, use blueprints or manuals to plan work, perform preventive maintenance, and document tasks promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing maintenance experience on presses, hydraulic systems, engines, motors, pumps, conveyors, and production machines.
• Experience reading diagrams, sketches, manuals and engineering specifications to troubleshoot Malfunctions.
• On-the-job training offered.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems in facility.
• Plans repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals as needed.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• Performs preventive maintenance of equipment and processes and documents tasks.
• Maintains operations in compliance with policies and OSHA regulations.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Train production operators on safe operation and minor maintenance of plant equipment.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.
