Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions in Chicago, IL is seeking a Machine Operator for overnight 12-hour shifts to support our MAES unit. This fast-paced, safety-focused role features a rotating schedule (2 days on, 2 off, 3 on) with a 15% shift differential and opportunities for growth.

You will operate production equipment, load materials, perform assembly and packaging, document records, maintain 5S, and monitor quality to help meet daily goals while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing, production, or related experience.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience using hand tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment according to standard work instructions.
• Load and unload materials, components, and finished products.
• Perform assembly, machine operation, packaging, and other manufacturing tasks.
• Inspect products to ensure quality requirements and specifications.
• Complete production records and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and basic setup activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and report operational, quality, or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices.
• Support the achievement of daily production, quality, and efficiency goals.
