Job description

Overnight Lift Operator (Finance)

Join our team and immediately become part of the largest distributor of conventional, natural, organic, and specialty products in the United States and Canada. We serve over 43,000 customer locations with 200,000 different products. Our Warehouse associates supply thousands of consumers with better-for-you food that nourishes families nationwide. Our retailers range from small family-owned stores to Whole Foods Markets and everything in between. Are you ready to make an impact on the lives of others and feel good about what you do? Join our growing Distribution team today.

What does it mean to be part of the Replenishment Team?

As a Reach Lift Operator, you will use a piece of equipment called a Reach Lift to move products within the warehouse. It is designed to work in narrow aisles, allowing operators to reach high shelves while maintaining stability. These lifts are ideal for storing and retrieving goods from elevated storage spaces, offering enhanced maneuverability compared to traditional forklifts. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring products are readily available for various teams within the warehouse.

Starting pay rate: $21.25/hr + $1.25 shift differential

Schedule: 4 days a week (Includes one weekend day), 9PM start

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Replenish pick slots.
  2. Inspect assigned lift and complete vehicle inspection sheet. Replenish pick slots using the view request screen. If no requests exist, use the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots.
  3. Report to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for the daily assignment, vehicle inspection sheet, and replenishment discrepancies sheet.
  4. Maintain correct counts and log any discrepancies in inventory.
  5. Verify that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.
  6. Remove all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles. Separate good, bad, and blue pallets, and stage them neatly in the pallet staging area.
  7. Operate the lift in a safe and efficient manner, park, and recharge the lift in its designated spot at the end of the shift.
Job Requirements:
  • Understand procedures in other warehouse areas for a comprehensive understanding of all processes.
  • Apply common sense to carry out simple instructions and handle standardized situations.
  • Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of two-digit numbers, handling money, and working with units such as inches, feet, yards, ounces, and pounds.
  • Read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Use good judgment, especially when supervision is not immediately available.
Experience:

Previous warehouse/high reach experience preferred.

Work Environment:
