At the Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County (EAHCC), our mission is to create a comprehensive pet healthcare environment that delivers superior customer service while addressing the needs of pets, clients, and referring veterinarians. We offer a wide range of emergency services, including in-house diagnostics like blood work, radiographs, ultrasound, emergency surgery, fluid therapy, blood and plasma transfusions, oxygen kennels, endoscopy, and EKGs—available 24/7/365.

Our team is always prepared to handle emergencies, with no appointments necessary. We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, prioritizing patients with the most severe or life-threatening conditions through a thorough triage process. Our skilled veterinary team ensures top-notch care for all dogs and cats, regardless of breed or size, from diagnostics to life-saving surgeries.

Compensation
  • $24-$28 hourly, based on experience
  • $2+ differentials for full overnight shifts
Schedule
  • 3 shifts per week
  • Thursdays - Saturdays
  • 6:45pm-7:15am
Who We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking overnight Licensed Emergency Veterinary Technicians to assist our doctors in critical tasks, including:

  • IV catheter placement
  • Blood draws
  • IV fluid management
  • Diagnostics and supportive therapies
  • Surgical scrub and anesthesia monitoring
  • Post-operative patient monitoring
  • Accurate documentation and client communication
Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Triage, manage emergency calls and walk-ins, conduct assessments, provide nursing care.
  • Medical Procedures: Venipuncture, catheter placement, emergency procedures like airway management and oxygen therapy.
  • Laboratory Work: Process lab specimens, CBCs, coagulation tests, urinalysis.
  • Client Communication: Engage pet owners, provide discharge instructions, support with empathetic communication.
What We're Looking For
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT) with at least 2 years of emergency or specialty hospital experience.
  • Team players who promote trust, collaboration, and a positive environment.
  • Adaptability and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Strong communication skills in English; multilingual skills a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
