Pride Health is seeking an Overnight Lab Assistant for a 4-month assignment in Tucker, GA. The role supports a medical facility with potential extension or conversion based on performance.

Pay is $19.78 per hour on W-2, and qualifications include a high school diploma; medical assistant training is helpful. The candidate will handle specimen processing, routine instrument maintenance, QA/QC tasks, safety protocols, and proper disposal of biohazardous materials while using lab information

Aufgaben

• Sort and receive specimens in the department.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on equipment.
• Centrifuge specimens, print labels, record data and manage specimen storage/retrieval.
• Prepare reagents and media for testing.
• Prepare specimens at workstations for testing (build worklists, aliquot samples, check for clots).
• Perform QA/QC duties as assigned and locate missing samples.
• Decontaminate work areas and perform weekly radioactive wipe tests.
• Follow PPE and safety regulations; operate lab computer systems and PCs.
• Dispose of biohazardous material and complete training/competency checklists.

Pride Health is hiring a Overnight Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Tucker, GA 30084. This is a 4 months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location : Tucker, GA 30084

Duration : 04+ months Contract/ Likely to convert to FT based on performance

Payrate : $19.78/hr. on W2/*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sorting, and receiving specimens in the department.
• Performs routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Performs laboratory tasks of centrifuging specimens, printing extra labels, recording data (temperature charts) specimen storage and retrieval.
• Preparing reagents and or media in the department.
• Preparing specimens at workstations for testing. (Including building worklists, aliquoting specimens into sample cups, checking specimens for clots and fibrin, inoculation, slide preparation)
• Performs QA/QC duties as assigned.
• Finds missing samples.
• Decontaminates work areas.
• Performs weekly radioactive wipe tests.
• Follows all PPE requirements and all safety regulations.
• Uses the laboratory computer system as well as operates PCs.
• Disposes of biohazardous material.
• Completes training and competency checklists as appropriate.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant training helpful. Math and science courses preferred.
