Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked, products are organized, and customers receive friendly service. This full-time role starts early, with shifts beginning around 4 AM, including weekends and holidays.

You will stock, rotate, and organize groceries, support leadership in completing store tasks, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while interacting with customers in a helpful manner.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and follow procedures.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Comfortable using basic technology and learning store systems.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations accurately and efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
