Job summary

Hyatt Regency Morristown at Headquarters Plaza in Morristown, NJ, is seeking an Overnight Houseperson to maintain the cleanliness of guest spaces, hallways, elevators, and linen closets. The role requires strong communication and the ability to lift and move heavy loads in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include keeping service landings clean, removing trays, dusting baseboards, stocking linen closets, and responding to guest requests.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Must have physical stamina to lift, push and pull heavy amounts of weight on a consistent basis.
• Candidate must have open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the service landings clean and organized.
• Removes trays from the guest floors.
• Keeps corridors on guest room floors clean.
• Maintain cleanliness of stairwells.
• Baseboards and pictures in guest corridors must be dusted daily.
• All guest room doors must be free of scuff marks.
• Keeps ice machine room clean.
• Moves furniture upon request.
• Completes guest requests.
• Have a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure hotel guests and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.
• Ensures that assigned service landing closets are stocked at proper linen and supply par levels.
• Empties Guest Room linens on an hourly basis or as needed.
• Empties Guest Room garbage on an hourly basis or as needed.
• Communicate with Guest Room and assist them with stripping guest rooms
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
