Job summary

Dossier Hotel Portland is seeking a friendly, proactive houseperson with exceptional people skills to ensure every guest enjoys a wonderful stay. You will maintain the cleanliness of public areas—hallways, meeting rooms and lobbies—and support the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding service.

This multi-talented role also handles guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs and bedding, plus other tasks assigned by housekeeping managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• 1 year experience as a houseperson or housekeeper preferred.
• Strong customer service and guest-focused attitude.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms, hallways, lobby, and other workspaces.
• Anticipate and respond to visitors' needs to provide the best service.
• Deliver requested amenities such as rollaway beds, cribs, blankets, etc. to guest rooms.
• Check floors at start of shift and during day to collect garbage and soiled linen per management.
• Transport clean linen to housekeeping storage and replenish supplies on each floor.

Job description

We're searching for a houseperson with exceptional people skills who is enthusiastic and courteous to make sure our hotel guests have a wonderful stay. We require a multi-talented person capable of handling a wide range of duties. Responsibilities for this position include keeping hotel public areas clean, such as hallways, meeting rooms, and lobbies.

Additionally, you will help deliver guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, and perform any specially assigned tasks by housekeeping managers. Our ideal applicant has at least one year of housekeeping or houseperson experience, as well as a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

This is a full-time position, 11 pm til 7 am. Training including!

Compensation:

$18.50 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms and hallways, as well as the lobby and other workspaces
• Anticipate, listen intently, and respond quickly to visitors' requirements to provide the best quality of service
• Deliver requested amenities such as rollaway beds, cribs, blankets, etc. to guest rooms
• Check all allocated floors at the start of each shift and during the day to collect garbage, soiled linen, and other items as directed by management
• Transport clean linen to the housekeeping storage rooms and replenish linen supplies on each floor

Qualifications:

• Graduated high school, received GED or equivalent
• Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
• 1 year experience as a houseperson or housekeeper strongly desired
• Good understanding of cleaning techniques and products
• Possesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skills
