Job summary

Kessler Hotels is seeking a detail‑oriented House Attendant to maintain cleanliness across assigned areas and assist guests with requests. The position supports housekeeping and front‑of‑house operations in a Richmond Hill property. You will contribute to a welcoming, pristine environment that reflects the brand’s refined service standards.

The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and excellent guest communication to ensure on‑time delivery of amenities and a smooth guest experience.

Qualifications

Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to stand during entire shift.
Strong verbal and written communication with guests and teammates.

Responsibilities

Buff marble floors daily per hotel standards.
Shampoo carpets and furniture in public areas as needed.
Assist guests with luggage in a friendly, efficient manner.
Handle Lost and Found items per procedures.
Clean guestrooms and support housekeeping as required.
Know emergency procedures and maintain equipment in good condition.
Assist with special projects and ensure guest satisfaction.

Location

Located in Richmond Hill, Georgia, this 200-room dual-branded hotel will feature a Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott inspired by the legacy of Henry Ford, who once owned more than 85,000 acres in Bryan Country and helped shape the Richmond Hill community. The hotel will celebrate the nostalgia of American automobile travel through curated art, artifacts, and vintage vehicles displayed throughout the property, highlighted by a signature 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback located at the entrance. Set to open in late 2026, the hotel is designed to bring Kessler’s signature blend of elevated design, artistic inspiration, and best-in-class Southern hospitality to one of Georgia’s fastest-growing communities.

Overview

The House Attendant is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all assigned areas and equipment. He/she is also responsible for delivering items to guestrooms (express checkout, newspapers – property specific, etc.).

Responsibilities

Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
Shampoo carpets in the public areas according to hotel standards.
Shampoo furniture as needed.
Handle all requests for luggage assistance in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to hotel standards.
Clean guestrooms as needed.
Have knowledge of and assist in all emergency procedures.
Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
Maintain storage of hotel equipment in proper area.
Complete special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Ability to stand during entire shift.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based In Colorado

8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based In California

8 paid holidays per year
Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
