Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ seeks an Overnight Pharmacist/Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract working 8:00 PM–7:00 AM, Wed–Tue with 7 nights on/7 nights off. In-office, no on-call and no 48-hour guarantee option.

ACLS & BLS certification and AZ Pharmacist License are required. Inpatient acute hospital experience is preferred; 2 years hospital staffing experience is needed, with sterile compounding expertise.

Qualifications

• 2 years recent hospital pharmacist staffing; must be able to work independently.
• Sterile compounding experience is required.
• Inpatient acute hospital experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, accurate distribution of medications and oversee IV admixtures and narcotic accountability.
• Collaborate with physicians on drugs and dosing and educate nursing staff, patients and physicians.
• Maintain medication safety programs, review patient profiles and report adverse drug reactions.
