Overnight Grocery Team Member (Stocker, Inventory, Receiving) - Full Time

Provides overnight support for assigned team, including receiving and preparing product, maintaining the floor, displays, and back stock in accordance with company standards. All Whole Foods Market retail jobs require ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members at all times. All positions must be performed in accordance with team and store Standard Operating Procedures. Team members must be prepared to perform duties inherent in other team member roles. Positions should support WFM core values and goals, promote programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations including Food Safety and other departmental duties.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Check product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards.
  2. Sort and scan waste accurately.
  3. Maintain production standards.
  4. Stock and clean shelves, bins, and food prep areas.
  5. Keep back stock organized and in good order.
  6. Handle DC and UNFI invoices for products delivered outside store hours.
  7. Check-in products and report miss-picks to leadership.
  8. Receive products from delivery to sales floor or back stock areas.
  9. Assist in receiving and sorting overnight deliveries for other teams.
  10. Arrive on time, groomed, dressed appropriately, and ready to work; attend all scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings.
  11. Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly, and model suggestive selling techniques; answer phones courteously.
  12. Maximize sales through proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
  13. Follow and ensure compliance with procedures, including Weights and Measures, sanitation, and safety standards.
  14. Maintain a clean, sanitary work and shopping environment; ensure equipment safety and cleanliness.
  15. Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure accuracy of signage and pricing.
  16. Report safety hazards immediately.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience

No prior retail experience required.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
  • Use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Work in temperatures below 32°F, 32-40°F, and above 90°F.
  • Work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery.
  • May require ladder use.
