Job summary

H-E-B in Austin is seeking a Night Stocker to join a fast-paced grocery and drug store team. You will stock shelves, rotate products, and learn multiple departments while supporting nightly goals and customer service.

This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and a strong team attitude to meet store standards. You'll work overnight shifts, often with cross-functional collaboration, and may coach other stockers as needed.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• Experience stocking and in customer service (preferred)
• Experience in a physically demanding job a plus
• Knowledge of SOPs and emergency procedures
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to perform repetitive, physical tasks and lift heavy items
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Forklift/power jack training provided upon hire

Responsibilities

• Stocks shelves and refills displays
• Loads, unloads, and moves heavy products; may unload trucks
• Conditions shelves and product stock
• Learns product knowledge with attention to dates and labels
• Keeps department clean and organized; adheres to SOPs
• Supports food safety and sanitation standards
• Works well in a team; accepts feedback and may coach others
• Assists customers in locating products and answering questions
