Job summary

Hy-Vee is looking for a Stocker in Missouri to keep shelves full, tidy, and ready for customers. You’ll unload trucks, rotate stock, and assist shoppers with finding items while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

No prior experience is required as Hy-Vee offers training and a team-focused atmosphere. The role supports a fast-paced grocery department with hands-on responsibilities and customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy store environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need throughout the store.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along feedback or requests to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product to ensure freshness, and monitor for mis-picked items or stock issues.
• Organize stock for efficiency and restock any damaged items, reporting issues to supervisors as needed.
• Operate the register for customer purchases as needed and assist with stocking supplies throughout the store.
• Train new stockers on job duties and maintain Hy-Vee dress code and safety standards.
