Job summary

The Lofton Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, offers a hospitality role focused on dishwashing and kitchen support. The position supports a premier hotel experience at Minnesota's first Hilton Tapestry Collection property.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; prior work in fast food, stewarding, stocking merchandise, food service, restaurants or housekeeping is helpful.
• Ability to tolerate varied working conditions and perform physical activities (standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs, pushing up to 150 lbs).
• Must be able to change activities quickly and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dish machine to standards; efficiently processing dishes and utensils.
• Unload dish machine; stack, store, and return dishes and utensils to proper area of kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish area and kitchen; empty garbage cans and perform general cleaning tasks.
• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, and drying; transport soiled ware to designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely; wipe down countertops; restock supplies; assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service; anticipate event order needs and perform additional duties.

What will you be doing?
