Job summary

Signal of New England is seeking a Floating Dedicated Security Officer to cover overnight shifts at client sites in Everett, Malden, and Woburn. This part-time floater role offers flexibility to work across multiple locations while maintaining security presence on overnight patrols.

Responsibilities include outdoor/indoor patrols, monitoring activity, securing access points, and reporting incidents. Local candidates with overnight security experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a reliable vehicle to travel between Everett, Malden and Woburn.
• Prior experience with overnight security shifts is a plus.
• Ability to walk for extended periods and climb stairs regularly.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Comfortable addressing individuals and setting boundaries professionally.
• Local to the area encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property on foot, including stairs, during overnight shifts.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report incidents.
• Restrict unauthorized access and engage with the public professionally.
• Maintain a visible security presence to reassure residents.
• Write detailed daily activity and incident reports.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or alarms.
• Ensure all building access points are secure.
