Job summary

Chelten House Products, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Janitor for the Monday-Friday overnight shift (10:00 pm to 6:30 am) at its Swedesboro, New Jersey facilities. The role covers cleaning of production areas, restrooms, floors, and waste disposal across the plant.

Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of facilities cleaning experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience operating floor scrubbers or pallet jacks. Union benefits and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months years of experience in facilities cleaning/maintenance. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience using a commercial floor scrubber/buffer
• Ability to work independently
• Time management skills to complete all assigned duties daily
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis
• Skilled in using manual and powered pallet jacks
• Use of vacuum cleaner, shop-vac and floor scrubber

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of production plant facilities, equipment and surfaces
• Employee restroom maintenance (cleaning and stocking)
• Guard rails, hand rails, and other contact surfaces
• Window cleaning
• Production and warehouse floors
• Entrance and exit ways
• Disposal of trash and separation of recyclable materials
• Collection and replacement of trash containers on the production lines
• Use of compactor machines for trash and recycling disposal
• Work safely in a production/manufacturing environment, adhering to all company policies, practices and procedures
