PetVet Care Centers' VRCC Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital in Englewood, Colorado, is seeking an Overnight ER Veterinary Technician to join our team. Earn a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 based on experience and provide compassionate veterinary care to our emergency patients.

You will perform patient assessments, assist in surgeries, administer medications, maintain records, and communicate with pet owners, while working in a collaborative, supportive hospital with national resources behind

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Emergency / Specialty veterinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging and wrapping wounds.
• Assist with examinations and operations by assembling required supplies and instruments, securing patients to examination rooms, and restraining as directed by the veterinarian.
• Provide care by applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, and equipment usage.
• Maintain medical records by documenting conditions, reactions, and changes; update the database accurately.
• Release pets to their owners as directed; ensure proper grooming before release.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or practice.
