Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) seeks an ER Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join the hospital team. This role collaborates with the Hospital Manager, Veterinary Technician Manager and DVM on duty to supervise the overnight technician team, ensuring continuous, high-quality patient care and smooth hospital operations.

Candidates should hold a Veterinary Technician License, bring experience in veterinary medicine, and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Must have veterinary technician license.
• Experience in veterinary medicine or related field.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital.
• Ability to manage workflow and defuse upset clients.

Responsibilities

• Work 10–12 hour shifts, on feet for most of shift.
• Lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Frequent computer use throughout shift.
• Learn and demonstrate restraint techniques for animals.
• Assist with anesthesia procedures and monitoring.
