Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking an Overnight ER Ward Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, animal care, and client communication.

This full-time role involves caring for patients overnight, maintaining equipment, restraining and handling animals, performing basic exams, and assisting with treatments as directed by licensed staff. ER exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• Must have at least 2 years of general practice experience.
• ER experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients and assist with exams and medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment and maintain medical records.
