Ethos Veterinary Health's Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) in Parker, CO is seeking an Overnight Emergency Triage Veterinary Technician. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $25-$32, a $1,500 sign-on bonus, and an additional $3 per hour overnight differential after 6pm.

Schedule is Saturday–Tuesday, 9:00pm–7:00am. The ER Triage Tech will triage and support emergency patients, provide vital signs and history to doctors, assist with diagnostics, treatments, and hospitalizations,

Qualifications

• At least ONE YEAR of veterinary technician experience is REQUIRED.
• Registered Veterinary Technician in Colorado, or ability to become registered upon hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients as they come into the ER with appropriate medical decision making and escalation to ER doctor as appropriate.
• Obtain history and vital signs of the pet.
• Assist DVMs with exams, treatments and procedures.
• Respond to STAT calls and follow appropriate patient care protocols.
• Perform standard technician duties including restraint, venipuncture, SQ Fluids, radiographs, and medication administration.
• Conduct sedation and anesthesia per hospital protocols and monitor recovery.
• Maintain paperless medical records in EzyVet and Smartflow.
• Discuss estimates, collect payments, and discharge patients.
