Virginia Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for our Overnight ER. This full-time role focuses on emergency medicine, with a 3-shift schedule of 12 hours (7pm–7am). Competitive $30–$40/hour plus benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• AAS in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia LVT license in good standing.
• 2+ years in emergency veterinary medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with restraint, postop care, catheter placement and wound care.
• Support veterinarians in emergency procedures, anesthesia and monitoring.
• Provide CPR, fluids, oxygen and transfusions as needed.
• Run hematology, urinalysis, cytology, microbiology and serology tests.
• Operate ECG, BP monitor, pulse oximeter and imaging equipment.
• Triage patients and document condition accurately.
• Educate clients on care, treatment and follow-up needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe ER environment and teamwork.
