Virginia Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an Overnight ER Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our 24/7 emergency team. You will provide high‑quality care under the supervision of board‑certified specialists and support the ER department.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in emergency triage, patient care, diagnostics, and client education.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced veterinary nursing including restraint, postoperative care, catheter placement, wound management and bandaging.
• Assist veterinarians in emergency procedures, anesthesia, surgical prep and monitoring.
• Provide emergency care such as CPR, fluids, oxygen, and transfusions.
• Conduct diagnostic tests: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, serology.
• Operate diagnostic equipment: blood pressure, ECG, pulse oximetry, imaging systems.
• Triage patients and document condition and treatment; educate clients; maintain ER environment.
• Collaborate with team and ensure safety and cleanliness.
