Job summary

1st Pet Veterinary Centers in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician for overnight shifts in the ICU setting.

You will care for hospitalized patients, monitor anesthesia, and communicate compassionately with clients while working within our employee-owned practice.

CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or equivalent emergency experience; must be able to work 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, weekends, and holidays; Mesa with some travel to Chandler as needed.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or equivalent emergency veterinary technician experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital.
• Minimum 3 years caring for hospitalized/ICU patients.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work at Mesa with occasional travel to Chandler and North Valley as business needs require.
• Strong IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, critical patient care, and client communication skills.
