1st Pet Veterinary Centers in Mesa, AZ seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician skilled in ICU settings to cover overnight shifts. The role emphasizes emergency care, inpatient support, and compassionate client communication.

Qualified technicians bring 3+ years in a 24-hour emergency environment, with ICU experience and proficiency in venipuncture, IV placement, and anesthesia monitoring. The hospital values open-book management and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or equivalent emergency veterinary technician experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital
• Minimum 3 years caring for hospitalized/ICU patients
• Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays

Requirements

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred (or equivalent emergency veterinary technician experience)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital
• Minimum 3 years caring for hospitalized/ICU patients
• Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work at Mesa with occasional travel to Chandler and North Valley as business needs require
• Strong IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, critical patient care, and client communication skills
