Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Framingham, MA seeks a skilled & compassionate Relief Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team. Overnight availability is strongly preferred.

This role offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, with pay between $24.25 and $49.00 per hour plus shift differentials, commensurate with experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Monitor vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes or concerns.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and administer medications via appropriate routes.
• Mentor and train other co-workers to ensure high-quality care.
