Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Brewer, ME is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for full-time overnight emergency care. Joining Rarebreed Veterinary Partners, you will work with specialists and access state-of-the-art training facilities to deliver high-quality care to hospitalized pets.

Responsibilities include triage, treatment documentation, medication administration, catheter placement, anesthesia support, imaging, client updates, and anesthesia recovery.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Credential required (LVT, CVT, or RVT).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Create and maintain treatment sheets.
• Calculate and administer medications, infusions, and blood products.
• Place and maintain catheters (central, peripheral, urinary).
• Record all treatments and patient status observations.
• Charge for all treatments and procedures.
• Alert the DVM to status changes.
• Perform anesthesia induction, maintenance and recovery.
• Perform radiographs and laboratory analyses.
• Interact with clients and provide patient and financial updates.

Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled full-time Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to our team. Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is an emergency clinic originally formed by local veterinarians in hopes of delivering prompt and conscientious emergency care for patients after hours, on weekends, and during holidays. We are fully equipped and provide state-of-the‑art care. All of our doctors and technicians have training and experience in emergency care. Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-8:00am, Friday 5:30pm-Monday 8:00am (Open 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday). Check us out here: https://emevc.com/

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Brewer, ME

$28.00/hr starting hourly pay rate, commensurate with license and experience; Overnight shifts are eligible for a shift differential.

Eligible for quarterly bonuses under Rarebreed's profit‑sharing program

Schedule:

Sunday 8PM-AM, Monday 10PM-8AM, Tuesday 10PM-8AM

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform triage evaluation of the condition of a variety of patients
• Create and maintain treatment sheets
• Calculate and administer scheduled medications, continuous infusions, and blood products
• Place and maintain catheters (central and peripheral venous, and urinary)
• Record all treatments and patient status observations
• Charge for all treatments and procedures
• Alert the DVM with any changes in a patient's status
• Perform anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery
• Perform radiographs and laboratory analyses
• Interact with clients, provide patient updates, financial updates, and manage patient visits
• Able to comfort, handle and restrain large and small animals
