Job summary

Brightway Living and Learning is seeking an Overnight Asleep-Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Adult Residential Services in Yaphank, NY. The role is part-time and paid hourly at $17/hour, with a lower rate starting at $19.00/hour for hires not meeting certain criteria.

A NYS Driver's License is required and transportation orientation must be completed. The DSP will support individuals with daily living activities, promote independence, and help connect them with community resources.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with a clean driving history.
• Successful completion of Brightway Living and Learning Transportation Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
• Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
• Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.
