Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for overnight, part-time shifts in Union, Missouri. You will support individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings, helping them live more independently and stay connected to their community.

This hands-on role involves personal care, daily living tasks, and encouraging growth, with on-demand pay options and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license (held 1+ year).
• Access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Caregiving experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals grow and live well.
• Build meaningful, respectful relationships with individuals.
• Assist with daily living skills (hygiene, meals, routines).
• Support goals (budgeting, communication, exercise, nutrition).
• Encourage participation in community activities and daily engagement.
• Provide calm, consistent support for behavioral needs.
• Help maintain a safe, positive home environment.
• Work with team to support each person’s goals.
