Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a directly related field.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within 2 months of hire.
• Demonstrated judgment and decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students and professionals.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload independently across campus spaces.
• Maintain confidentiality and interact professionally in sensitive situations.
• Preferred knowledge of Hawaiian language and cultural values.
• Strong counseling and crisis-management awareness with basic counseling skills.
• Proficiency with common institution-wide computer applications and online meeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight safety and supervision of residents in assigned dorms.
• Respond in person to emergencies during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Provide guidance, mentorship and life-skill development to students.
• Maintain open communication with staff teams and participate in professional development.
• Follow policies to ensure student and staff safety and crisis response.
