About the role:

Dispatchers are the nucleus of our organization. This job role is fast-paced, and it changes not only every day, but at times hourly and even faster. The overnight dispatch position has several responsibilities and takes a special person for the role. Our transportation services range from airport transfers, high-profile weddings, major conferences, concerts, and sporting events. Working independently during the overnight shift is a must for this position. People who are outgoing, proactive, and strong problem solvers will excel in this role. Our clients include Kansas City’s business leaders, multimillionaires, celebrities, and professional sports athletes. Monitoring Dispatch Grid:

The Overnight Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring the nightly schedule and trip progress for our nighttime chauffeuring team, monitoring incoming flights, along with wake-up calls for early morning chauffeurs on morning trips and adjusting trips/schedule to accommodate changes while ensuring clients' vehicles arrive on time. Dispatchers are also responsible for monitoring trips the company has being serviced outside of Kansas City in other markets to ensure service runs smoothly. This requires someone who is computer savvy with technology, dispatching systems, has strong attention to detail, and multitasking skills who can work independently.

Reservations:

During the overnight hours, all incoming calls feed into dispatch and the overnight dispatcher will be responsible for handling and entering any reservations clients call in to request along with providing quotes as requested. Experience with reservation systems or the ability to quickly learn the technology is a must. Dispatchers spend one to two weeks in the Reservations Department, so we provide proper training.

Emails/Inbox:

The companies receive emails throughout the night with requests for transportation services along with other inquiries. The Overnight Dispatcher will need to respond to these emails, so the person in this position needs to know proper grammar and how to professionally respond to clients and vendors. They will also need to know how to file emails properly and what needs to be forwarded to other Managers so items can be addressed when they come into the office the next day. At the end of each shift, dispatchers need to compose an email dispatch report to provide to management and the dispatch team that summarizes their shift with pertinent information.

Reservationists: Reservationists are our client care specialists. If you have a client service mindset and like working with people over the phone, this job is for you. Reservationists handle incoming calls from clients to assist with quoting and booking transportation in Kansas City and across the globe. Transportation needs range from airport transfers, high-profile weddings, major conferences, concerts, and sporting events. The Reservations team also handles the daily inflow of emailed reservation and quote requests, along with monitoring online transportation bookings and quotes.
