Job summary

Inspire Greatness Within Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for overnight shifts (M-F) in Springfield, IL. You will work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assist with daily living activities, and support clinical teams and families to foster independence.

This role emphasizes compassion, safety, and teamwork as you implement treatments and programs, document progress, and help residents participate in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit and walk for periods of time.
• Successful clearance of background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities with their daily living activities
• Administer medication(s) according to guidelines
• Aid in implementing treatments, training programs, and developmental/behavioral plans
• Encourage community participation
• Document all observations and daily progress notes
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Assist individuals in performing their cleaning responsibilities
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and shopping
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by your supervisor
