Creative Care Resources is seeking an Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in Apple Valley, Burnsville, Rosemount, Inver Grove Heights, Mendota Heights, MN. This full-time overnight role runs from 10 pm to 8 am and requires sleeping when appropriate and following all training and safety procedures.

You will work as part of a team to provide compassionate care, assist with daily living activities, promote community access, and help

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Desire, skills to work with persons with special needs; training provided.
• Pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
• Positive demeanor and outlook.
• Full-time requires a minimum 30 hours per week.
• Part-time hours between 7 and 30 hours per week.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, bending/twisting, kneeling/crouching.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read, write and speak English proficiently.
• 1 year experience with persons with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support overnight for individuals with developmental disabilities.

We are a company that specializes in enriching the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing creative and quality care in all areas of their lives! We are looking for staff that are dependable, energetic, and quick on their feet and are committed to helping our individuals live their best life!
Creative Care Resources overnight shifts are typically from 10 pm to 8 am the following day. During overnight shifts, staff are expected to follow all of the trainings and procedures as daytime staff, but they do have the ability to sleep if the individuals are also asleep and in a safe setting.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Demonstrate the desire, skills and abilities to work with persons with special needs (training is provided)
• Pass a Criminal Background Check
• Valid driver's license & clean driving record preferred
• Demonstrate a positive demeanor & outlook
• Full Time requires working a minimum 30 hours per week
• Part Time hours are between 7 & 30 hours per week
• Abilityto stand, walk, sit, takestairs, bending/twisting, kneeling/crouching
• Abilityto lift up to 50 lbs.
• A willingness to work independently and as part of a team
• Read, write and speak English proficiently
• Abilityto count and manage money
• Ability to routinely operate basic equipment such as a calculator and telephone, household appliances, fire and alarm systems
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year experience working with persons with special needs is preferred

Hourly Rate: $18.75

Employees are also eligible for a quarterly incentive program after successfully completing their training period.
