Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work awake overnight shifts when scheduled; stay awake and attentive throughout the shift.
• Transport clients from the group home to day programs in the morning.
• Power individuals to achieve personal goals and celebrate milestones.
• Support independence through daily living activities (medication administration, meals, hygiene, cleaning).
• Build genuine, lasting relationships with clients.
• Participate in community outings with clients (sports events, beach trips, zoo, shopping).

As a Direct Support Professional at NCFL, you’ll:

• Work awake overnight shifts when scheduled. Overnight shifts are not sleep shifts; DSPs are required to remain awake, alert, and actively attentive to the individuals we support for the entire duration of the shift.
• Transport clients from the group home to their day program at the end of the overnight shift in the morning, ensuring they arrive safely and on time.
• Power individuals to achieve personal goals and celebrate milestones.
• Support independence through daily living activities (medication administration, meal preparation, hygiene assistance, cleaning tasks).
• Build genuine, lasting relationships.
• Get out into the community with our extraordinary clients - think MLB games, beach trips, shopping, the zoo, and more.

Compensation:

• $27.00/hour (Part-time weekend only overnight work schedules, 11 pm to 9 am)
• Earn up to $37.50/hour for overtime! Dependent on your regular hourly rate.

What You’ll Need:

• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass background checks and a drug screening
• Willingness to transport clients in company vehicles to programs, appointments, and outings
• Ability and willingness to work awake overnight shifts and remain awake, alert, and attentive for the entire shift
• Ability and willingness to transport clients from the group home to their day program in the morning at the conclusion of an overnight shift
• A caring attitude and ability to assist with daily living activities
