Job summary

Verland is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team, providing Exceptional Care to residents in a home-like setting. You will support individuals with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges in a non-exempt, hourly role.

New wage is $20.00/hr with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The DSP role includes training, client transportation, daily living support, medication assistance, and participation in activities designed to promote skills and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Experience is not required!

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and ongoing support for residents with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges.
• Assist with meals, housekeeping, and laundry; support personal hygiene.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Medication administration.
• Other duties as assigned.
