Job summary

Cheer Home Care in La Jolla, CA is seeking an experienced Caregiver for 12-hour overnight shifts on a per diem basis. You will provide non-medical home care, focusing on companionship, personal care, and dementia-specific support for elderly and disabled clients.

Applicants should bring 10+ years of dementia care experience, be able to assist with ADLs, mobility, and transportation, and maintain a compassionate, patient demeanor.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of dementia care experience.
• Experience with dementia or Parkinson's care required.
• Wants long-term relationship with a single client.
• Must be able to assist with ADLs and mobility.
• Able to drive client's vehicle (mileage reimbursement) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Providing dementia care with patience and respect.
• Offering companionship, engagement, and emotional support in the evening.
• Supporting mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Maintaining a calm and comfortable atmosphere.
