Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant for the Critical Care overnight shift. The role runs 6pm-6:30am on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays (3/12s).

You will support the night medical team with nursing care for critical cases, in-house labs, IV catheter placement, and comprehensive patient rounds while maintaining medical records. The position requires 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience, a high school diploma, and prefers a CA RVT

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with staff and clients respectfully while maintaining confidentiality.
• Active CA RVT license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for critical cases, evaluating the patient.
• Calculate CRIs and provide advanced hospitalization care.
• Perform in-house laboratories.
• Proficient in IV catheter placement.
• Provide accurate and detailed patient rounds.
• Ensure safe restraint for fractious patients.
• Record vital signs and communicate when to alert DVM.
• Advocate for the patient and client.
