Job summary

SAGE Dublin, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant for overnight Critical Care in Dublin, CA. The role focuses on high-level patient care in a fast-paced hospital, with a 4/10 schedule and an overnight differential.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience, strong teamwork, and a CA RVT license (preferred). Compensation includes RVT pay range $30-40/hr, with benefits and relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry.
• Active CA state RVT license is preferred but not required.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for critical cases, consistently evaluating the patient.
• Calculate CRIs and provide advanced hospitalization care.
• Perform in-house laboratories.
• Place IV catheters proficiently.
• Give accurate and detailed patient rounds.
• Perform safe restraint for fractious and frightened patients.
• Obtain TPRs, keep medical records, and understand when to alert the DVM.
• Advocate for the patient and client.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
