Job summary

Custom Protective Services is seeking a professional Security Officer with commercial building experience to staff a standing post at our Midtown Manhattan location. A NYS Security Guard license is required, and corporate experience preferred.

Candidates should be presentable, well spoken, and willing to be part of a team. Weekend overnight shifts are available: Saturdays and Sundays midnight to noon, with additional weekend and Friday night hours listed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State Security Guard license.
• Must have NYS training certifications (16 HR OJT and/or 8 HR Annual).
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and maintain standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet and maintain all state/city licensing requirements for Security Officers.
• Must be comfortable on feet.
• Must be tech-savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
• Clean cut, corporate appearance required.
• Ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances.
• Courteous telephone manner.
• Ability to write routine logs and reports.
• Good organizational skills.

Shift Available

• Saturdays & Sundays 12AM-12PM
• Saturdays 7AM-3PM + 3PM-11PM (double shift) + Sundays 3PM-11PM
• Fridays & Saturdays 11PM-11AM

Responsibilities and Duties

• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state/city licensing requirements for Security Officers
• Must be comfortable on feet
• Must be Tech-Savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Applications
• Clean cut, corporate appearance required.
