Overnight Clerk (Finance)

Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Minimum requirements:

  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Effective communication skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Any retail experience
  • Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities include:

  • Promote trust and respect among associates
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing product suggestions
  • Maintain knowledge of products and inform customers of specials
  • Ensure product quality and freshness, review sell-by dates, and take appropriate action
  • Label, stock, and inventory merchandise; provide customers with ordered products
  • Report discrepancies and safety issues, and adhere to safety and food safety regulations
  • Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs needed
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and maintain temperature logs
  • Report accidents, safety risks, illegal activities, and security concerns
